Why doesn't my project open under Unity 2018.3.2f1?

Hello Dear Unity Community,

I am still a beginner here so please show some love :)

I currently have Unity version 2018.3.2f1 installed (new today because there were problems with it before) and unfortunately I can't open my project and it shows me an error message without naming a concrete problem (the standard Unity window opens but with a red exclamation mark and the following on the header: Unity Editor Unity 2018.3.2f1_b3c100a4b73a). Even after some research I still haven't found a solution.

Does anyone know what to do? Thank you
