Audio Asset volume is too quiet on import
I need to clarify that this is not an issue with 2D vs 3D sounds. To a large degree this affects every asset in my game, whether the audio is played back as a 2D element or a 3D element.
Auditioning a file in the Unity Project window is giving me back playback approximately 15 decibels lower than auditioning the same file in VLC or in my audio workstation. This is definitely something that Unity is doing when it imports. This issue is not present when I tested in unity 2017, but we are on 5.4.1f1 and cannot upgrade.
Is there any solution to this issue that anyone knows of?
