How to make particles move along a path in a particle system?
I'm creating a VR game where the opening scene involves you committing seppuku as a samurai. Instead of directly telling the player to slash their stomachs open, I want to have a dotted line on the stomach when they look down, with a little red trailing particle system that is reminiscent of cutting someone open with a scalpel (the kind of blood-slash visual that you see when you cut something with a scalpel in Trauma Center). However, since the stomach is curved, I need this guiding particle to be curved as well; more specifically, I need it to follow a custom path that I make. How would I go about doing that with a particle system in Unity?
