Birds eye view 2D Animation using blend trees
I'm making a 2D game similar to Zelda and have sprites set up for 8 directions. I'm using blend trees for the animations and it's working well, but I have one issue. When I stand still, the character defaults to facing north. What can I do to make it face the last direction I was moving towards? Is there perhaps a way to add a dead-zone to blend trees? Thanks in advanced ^^.
EDIT: I should specify, it's a 2D Simple Directional blend tree.
