Multiple Colliders Doing Different Things, Single Object
Hi everyone! I'm hoping you can give me a bit of advice here.
I am making a top down game in which the player can throw a knife to attack enemies. My problem is in making the colliders for the knife itself. I want to have it so that only a collision with the blade of the knife (as opposed to any part) will injure an enemy. Currently I have a capsule collider on the blade part of the knife prefab. The problem is, this now leaves the handle without any collider for physics.
Is there a way to have two colliders on an object, where one is used for OnCollisionEnter and etc while the other is purely for colliding with physics objects?
