Map textures to inside of a sphere
Hello!
I am making a unity project with the google cardboard SDK. The application will be deployed on carboards, and will consist of viewing the globe from the center. The user will effectively be suspended in the center of the earth looking out at all of the countries. I was having trouble casting a texture to the inside of a sphere, or even viewing the inside of a sphere for that matter. I was also having trouble casting universally equal light.
All help is appreciated, thanks in advance. :)
You have to create a unlit shader and add cull off line to it. it will allow any mesh to look from both sides.
If you only want to see the earth from inside: The easiest way would be to find a earth texture, import it as cubemap, create a skybox/cubemap material and assign the cubemap texture.
