Unity Ads Quesition
I would like to integrate Unity Ads into my game. My objective is to only show reward videos to my users where they'll be asked whether they want to view videos to earn rewards, exactly like Unity Ads advertised. But Unity documentation on how to make this to work is very confusing.
After reading through multiple versions of their documents, I finally figured out I probably need to do the following:
Create a game on Unity Ads page (which I did, but I don't have an IOS App ID yet).
Add a placement (terrible name, should be Ad Type) to the game with the type of reward video.
In the app check whether ads for such placement is available (in the SDK they call it zoneID, which adds to the confusion, should be placementName or placementID to be consistent).
Pass my method to the Advertisment.Show and award the rewards if user completed viewing a video.
Programming-wise it seems very easy to do. But in reality it is not so. My problems are the following:
The Unity Ads page does not show that my game has any placements even after I created one. Is this because the app I created does not have an iOS App ID? If so, then this creates a chicken-and-egg problem. I would like to be able to test my App before I submit it to App Store. But Unity Ads wants an App ID so that I can test.
I would like to tell my user how what rewards they are going to get, I can't figure out how to do it.
Please let me know if you know how to solve these problems. Thanks in advance!
