Lag in scene view
So I just installed free version of unity, put one cube in it and tried to move freely around the Scene with right click + wasd. And I'm lagging which is very strange to me considering I have GTX980 16gb RAM i5. Got to mention I actually installed Unity on NAS instead of pc don't know if that has anything to do with lagging inside Scene.
What do you mean by "lag"? A delay between input and the cube's movement? How are you moving the object?
I'm moving with right click + wasd around the cube..aand it's heavily laggy like it would freeze every few sec more like fps drops. Cant describe it better than that
You could mess up an input script. Do some kind of thousand checks or something like that, what affects CPU.
It sounds more like you're describing "stuttering" rather than "lag"? Have you looked at your resource monitor to see if there are any spikes in CPU, memory, network, or HDD at the point the editor stutters? Never tried running an intensive application from a NAS before, but as you mentioned that it seems quite plausible that that is the cause.
@tanoshimi Cpu usage goes up ~20% when moving around in unity with camera in scene view
I guess I'll have to try to run it locally, not on NAS if that doesn't work I'm clueless really

I've had this problem ever since installing Unity last week and today I got sick of it and started turning off app by app by app and restarting Unity every time to check if there was a difference. I think I went through 10 apps and twice as many services.
Do you have Nahimic for MSI installed? That was the culprit in my case. Uninstall that shit and restart Unity, might work for you too. If it doesn't work, make sure there's not a service for it still running, also try rebooting after uninstalling it.
YES! Oh my gosh, you're the best. I don't know what I was doing before uninstalling Nahimic. It was destroying my scene view performance. You. saved. me.

@maranmaran Reset Your scene camera settings. (top of scene view next to gizmos) Also turn on Animated materials in scene view. I've heard running a Youtube video in the background helps too.
@coderj4523 Hey you save me. Thanks. it's really works. And of the lags in play mode i just tick the vSyns (Game view only) from game screen's aspect option.
