Procedural floor plan/room layout (2D)
I'm trying to create a procedural floor plan/room layout for a simple 2D game, but I'm having trouble figuring out the actual generation. I've done the procedural dungeon tutorial on Unity site but the approach isn't really suitable for single building with procedural rooms. Can anyone help with the pseudocode or better yet has anyone done this and could offer some advice?
It would only include right angles (basically tied to a grid), but the building might not be rectangle as those are kind of boring and not really realistic outside of apartment buildings/offices.
