Turning the camera
n00b question here. So I'm making a maze game. Currently, it's like the Roll-a-ball tutorial, but with walls in the way. The big problem is that the camera stays facing one direction, which makes it hard to navigate. So I've been trying to devise controls for the player to turn the camera themselves. I managed to create a new axis for the camera rotation, called just Rotate. It uses A and D keys for the postive/negative values. But when I got to coding, I ran into Quaternions. I have no idea what they are or how to use them, but they sound complicated. So if you can show me the code I need to use, tell me how to use quaternions, or just provide an alternate or completely different approach, that would be great. All I need is for the camera to face where the ball is going! Thanks in advance!
