In-Game Character Creator

I've been searching around for a way to allow players to create/customize their own character for a MMO game I'm going to start working on.

So far the only thing I have been able to find is info on creating a character for your game. Right now, I have UMA imported into my project, but not completely sure how to setup an interface with it that will allow the player to customize their avatar "character"

Does anyone in this fantastic community have some reference points, tutorials, etc that may help me get over this hump?

Any help would be awesome!!! Thank you all in advance.
