Asset store euros price imbalance
Something I have realised recently, is that when buying from the asset store in the UK, rather than simply pay the equivalent of dollars to GBP, Unity forces the purchase into euros, but at a price that is FAR above the current exchange rate. Currently an item that costs me $65 costs 61 euros (£50). When it should in fact cost 49 euros, this is no small amount, it's ove 10% inflation in cost, and makes me much less likely to actually buy the item I was interested in. Why is this? And why is there not simply and option to pay in dollars from my Paypal? Which would equate to £40, and a much more reasonable price.
Good question, but not posed in the right forum. :) This forum is for help with technical issues for users of Unity. Take this question to Unity Technologies using their contact site:

I'm going to venture a quick guess myself, mostly because I'm curious: $$anonymous$$aybe it's a tax thing. VAT rates are usually much higher in the EU than in the US. It's possible the rates in the two currencies reflect this?
