Having trouble with building and running the Roll-A-Ball game
Hello all,
I am a novice and just recently completed the Roll-a-Ball tutorial on my PC. I followed everything the instructor did in the video series correctly. But when I clicked Build & Run, the game screen only showed the horizon. There was no game plane, no game objects, and no text. Please let me know what issues I need to resolve in order to successfully build and run this game.
Thanks to all who responded. I appreciate your input!

sounds like your camera is in the wrong position.
Could you please more specific as to how it's not positioned correctly? I re-checked the coordinates of my camera in the Transform section, compared them to those of the instructor in the video series, and saw that they are identical. Unless I'm overlooking something, I don't see how it is positioned incorrectly.
Are all of your other objects in the correct positions?
Yes, the walls, the player, the in-game text, and the pickups are all placed correctly. I'm thinking that it might be a scripting issue that's preventing me from successfully building and running the game? Do you think that's the case here, or could it be another issue?
Alright, so I went to the game tab and everything is positioned correctly. The camera is good, all of the game objects are there and correctly placed, the controls function properly when I hit play, and the text is there too. The text also functions properly when I hit play.
So, there are no issues when running the game. But I tried to build and run the game again, and I am still not seeing any of the game objects. Not only that but I tried to build and run the game a second time. This time I went to build settings, clicked on build and run, and mistakenly replaced the existing file I had in the builds folder. As a result, when I tried to the run the game this time around, all my game objects disappeared. I'll avoid making this mistake again when going through this tutorial a second time.
Also, do you think that it may be a compatibility issue that's preventing me from building and running the game successfully? Not only did I build this on the PC, but I built it with version 5.5. Do you think that may effect me building and running the game properly?
Did you check and make sure that your first scene that opens is the one that you want it too? idk you might have a blank scene as the first one and that's why you are not getting anywheres. if that fixed the problem great if not then go through the tutorial again and if its still not working then you will have to send me the project so I can figure it out. and no, this should have nothing to do with compatibility.
To be honest, I just deleted the Roll-A-Ball folder that had all my assets and whatnot in it last night. I'm just going to do the tutorial again and, hopefully, I won't encounter any issues with building and running it the second time around. But if I do, I won't hesitate to notify you about it. Thanks for being willing to help me out! I really appreciate it.
