Blender animations and unity

I'm wanting to import animations from blender into unity. Like a walk cycle or so.. in blender I have the model made and rigged, I also have the walk cycle made. When I import it into unity and play the game it only show the walk cycle for a brief second. I've tried making it loop. I just want to make a character walk. Also I'm very new to unity so I don't know much about it.

In the inspector on the model, you can control the loop mode of the animations you import.

Do you know the number of the frames of the start and end of the animation cycle? There might be a FBXImporter component somewhere in your fbx check the Split Animation box and then name the animations and set the start and end frames.
