How do I take a Render Texture from a camera and place the image on a triangle mesh?
I have a camera view with a 1 by 1 aspect ratio. The camera's rendering path is a render texture, The render texture is placed onto a triangle mesh. Rather than the texture cutting off pixels that don't fit onto the triangle, the entire image distorts itself, creating an undesired effect with the image. How can I take a render texture that is square, and place it onto a triangle without distorting the image?

you need to map the UVs of the triangle correctly. the upper edge's Vertices UVs are most probably 0 and 1, but if you were to overlay the triangle with the rectangle it would be more like .3 and .6
