Question by dinhoinz · Jun 11, 2017 at 09:03 AM · installationlicenses

Can i install the Unity Personal in my company computer?

I work on a big company, and i want to install unity personal, to study while i'm without work to do. Can i install unity on my company pc without breaking the contract that says "The free version of Unity may not be licensed by a commercial entity with annual gross revenues (based on fiscal year) in excess of US$100,000"?

If it is for personal use you will be perfectly able to do so without breaking any law. :) However if your company itself uses it to create products and they sell those and make over 100 000 in a fiscal year then yes it is not allowed.

I have a similar problem. The company that I work for probably exceeds the 100$$anonymous$$ on annual gross with their main product which has nothing to do with games or Unity.

I am trying to make them invest in the game industry but we came in this dead end which the 100k revenue is related only on products created and sold using the Unity Software or we have to forcibly buy the enterprise license since we have other revenues which exceed this limit even though it is not Unity related.

If thats the case I probably wont be able to make them invest in this industry.
