Mail event system

Hi,

I'm trying to make an event system where there is e-mails being recieved in-game every 7.5 seconds. I want there to be a GUI which opens up either when you press the m key or by clicking on the mail icon in the bottom right corner. I just have no idea where to start, I'd like there to be a scrolling option once the mail is open too.
