Workflow for importing text files on a PC and exporting to mobile
Hello, I'm mostly asking this question to see if its a practical thing to do with unity or if I should use a different tool.
I would like to make a mobile app that will be able to use content imported from a text file.
For the ease of users, I want to make a secondary program that a user would have on their computer that would import the file to the proper location of their phone, if the phone was hooked into the computer. I'd also want that program to act as a UI for editing the text file if people chose to (though not really necessary). It would need to be able to import the text and modify it, then export it back to the text file most likely.
I looked into modifying text in unity, would combining GUI.TextField and GUILayout.BeginScrollView be a practical way to accomplish this?
Does the overall idea sound doable in unity or would it be better to use a different toolset?
Also, would having multiple or many text files on the mobile device be a problem? Is there a limit to how many an app can save locally other than the limits of the device itself?
Thank you!
