How to make worldspace buttons work?

Hey,

So back in the times locking cursor worked as it being in the middle and it was compatible with worldspace buttons, but now it isn't, so how can I have an invisible cursor and interact with UI (worldspace) buttons? (the main problem here being interaction from the middle of the screen)

Still not an answer :/ the problem is cursor has to be invisible and interaction has to come from the middle + everything works until 5.5, that's when everything breaks and why I asked this question.
