How to treat a shader like a material or substance
I want to be able to swap materials on a 3D object to make it look like its made out of a different element, ie Dirt, Fire, Water.
At least, that what I imagine I would do to the whole 3D object. I tried different substances, but they didn't really do the trick, as some of them they have to remain animated.
I know there are fire and water shaders, but is it possible to turn a shader into a material, so the whole surface of the 3D object is doing what the shader would do on it's own?
Have you try Right click - create new material in Unity?? Then scroll down and choose your shader.
Wow, how did I not realize that before.
Thank you!
