Let's just say there isn't any answer for this question at the moment.
How to make a performance check?
Hey guys, i am trying to implement a system on my game that basically works like this: If it's the first time the player is opening the game on X quality, it will make a performance test. Simple as that, huh? Well, it may look like, but i am a little bit out of ideas. I have an fps counter that measures the average frames per second you get on the scene, but question is: How exactly can i CHECK the performance? Like, what do you guys think i should do to "simulate" a standard match on the game while on the performance testing screen ? Any help would be appreciated ^.^

This is only 5$ if you wish to spend the money.

other then that I would recomend that if you are using unity 5, there is a built in stress tester for the editor, for you only. This will not show in your game however. Check this out for usage of that.
But it says that it tests the scene, as i said i already have a framerate counter, i don't want to know how many fps the player will get on my scene, just know what could do to simulate a match of the game while on the testing scene to check if the player would run the game on that quality just fine or not.
@Bryangs You would have to build your game in development mode. Do Ctrl + Shift + B and add scenes, and build. You can take the performance of what you get on your PC or laptop and judge it on how good your computer may be. If it is a normal PC and runs great, most people will be able to run it. If your PC is a beast and is lagging, you may need to cut down on graphics and scripts to gain performance for your users.

if you need to know something specific for your game like installed RAM or CPU or operating system you can get it like this: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/SystemInfo.html
but really as far as game development goes, the current FPS should be the most accurate way to decide a quality level for the user based on how his machine is actually handling things !!!
You didn't get it, i want to test how many frames would the player get if he was playing the game on a deter$$anonymous$$ed quality, i know my pc's specifications, and i already have an fps counter. I just need to know how to simulate my game. Anyway, obviously no one here knows that, question closed.
