How to add a bullet tracer effect to a raycast gun
Hi Guys... Question says it all... I have a Unity FPS Game in Dev and its looking great... Just finished my enemys etc but i need to add some effect to the bullets themselves.. Since the script uses Raycast there is no "Bullet" Prefab that is being shot.. I want to add some kind of effect to show a "Bullet" Like object flying when i shoot... Somewhat of a tracer effect but since its raycasts etc i really have no idea how to even attemp this... I have tryed searching but all i can find is people asking for help with objects = add line renderer etc.. but this is harder and more complex for me i believe so any info is appreciated. thank you my code is JS if that is any help :)

I've done things like this several times. What looks the best to me is to have a semi-random sized muzzle flash. And then draw a "tracer streak" at some random point along the ray. The idea is that bullets fly so fast that you'd only ever capture the tracer with the camera every so often, and you'd catch it more or less randomly as it flew from gun to target.
