If you buy a Unity 5 pro license, can you use it on Unity 4?
Hello, I have a question.
We're currently developing a game in Unity 4.6 (the reason we haven't upgraded it to Unity 5 is because we have a 3rd party tool that isn't working in Unity 5, therefore we must say in Unity 4).
My question is, we want to buy a Unity Pro license. But what we need to know is: if we buy Unity Pro now, will we be able to use that license in Unity 4.6? Or does it only work for Unity 5?
Yes. I have a Unity5 license and it works on all versions.

There you can see that you can upgrade from 4.x to 5.x for smaller amount and if you buy Unity now you can only buy 5.x for 1500$ or Unity Pro subscription for 75$ per month.
I am 90% sure about this that you when you buy 5.x you get 5 and all older versions but no 6. With subscription you can use any version that is available at the time you are subscribed.
To be sure you will have to contact Unity support, I said what they make clear.
