Moveing on a Sphere in direction of Camera with Math
Greetings,
I'd like to be able to move a player object on a sphere (á la Mario Galaxy) using math. I've read this thread and got the solution presented working.
Now my player has a Camera attached and I want to be able to move on the sphere in the direction the camera is facing when pressing the "forward" button (W). I have no idea how to convert this forward direction into a "spherical direction" with which I can modify the current spherical position to reflect an appropriate movement.
I briefly looked into tangent planes and vector projection on those, but I got lost in the math and realized I need help!
Thanketh thou!
P.S.: My ultimate goal is to simulate walking on a planet in first person while also being able to look around.
