High CPU usage
Is there a way to fix the Unity5 Editor itself? Some sort of setting to change from its default?
Issue:
Adding just terrain to scene causes editor to lag heavily.
turning off reflection probes on terrain reduces part of the lag (literally by 50%
turning off automatic lighting/baking, etc. reduces some lag as well.
Problem with doing this.
turning of light backing and such features causes things like scenes to be too dark.
Not turning off lighting when going into build mode with all the defaults in place never seems to finish loading.
There also seems to be a severe memory leak with unity5.6 but these problems are sill the same issues i been having since 5.0.
All I can figure out since this occurs on all computers with different specs is it is how the editor itself is configured so i am requesting for any help on changing the editor settings so it does not have such a high cpu and gpu consumption rate.
PS. Already tried doing a system cache and editor cache dump and it has not resolved the issues. Since the lighting and reflective probes clearly have a significant effect on performance issues with the editor (such as disabling reflective probes on terrain editor itself), what fixes can be done? .

@Arch_Warlock had a similar issue when I first started to use unity. solution I found then was to change the terrains static setting, hope this helps.
