When going to a new scene, set gameObject position to its current co-ordinates.
I would like to set my Player gameObject to be located at its current co-ordinates.
For example: When I load scene2 in my game and my player is at 0, 0, 0 that is where the gameObject is located. If I play the game, get to the next level (scene3) and then come BACK to scene2, I want my player gameObject to go to the last position the gameObject was in.
At the moment whenever I start a new scene, my player gameObject always goes back to the original starting position (i.e. 0, 0, 0). Rather, the behaviour should be that it stores the last current position within that scene and when the scene is re-loaded, to place the gameObject in that last stored position.
To be very specific: if I move the player to 10, 0, 0 in scene2, then I go to scene3 and come BACK to scene2, I would like the player to be placed at 10, 0, 0 and not 0, 0, 0.
Does that make sense?

void Start(){ transform.position = new vector3(0,0,0); }
I'm afraid this does not help. This will set the position to 0, 0, 0 but I want the gameObject to automatically be sent to the last stored position within that scene.
