How to send data to network on button press?
I am an extremely new user to Unity, and the only programming language I have experience in is python.
I am working on a TV remote app that sends IR codes to a Raspberry Pi, which then uses an Infared LED to send them to my TV.
As of now, I haven't started the programming - but I think this needs it.
I am wondering how I can send a string to my Raspberry Pi after I press a button. (The RPi will be connected over the same WiFi network)
Please keep in mind that I don't have experience with programming language other than python, and I would really appreciate some level of explanation on how certain things work if you're willing.
Details:
Using the app on Android only
Raspberry Pi is model 3 B, has wifi and bluetooth
Please let me know if you need more information, I apologize, as I don't have a lot (not really any) experience here.
Okay, I think I've figured out how to run code when a button is pressed. (Not 100% sure, maybe like 60%)
Anyways, I'm still wondering how I can connect my RPi to my Android phone running a Unity app, and how to send strings from the phone to the RPi (I don't need to send data back).
