Bending gravity around inside of spherical terrain? (like Game of Thrones opening credits)
I'm looking to put together a pretty basic, template-like level for a VR game, and I want it to be a level where the physical space is like walking on the inside of a hollow ball.
Ideally, gravity inside the ball would be relative to the center of the sphere and you avatar's point on the ground. This would allow you to be in a multiplayer environment where you can look up and see another player standing "upside-down" on the other side of the sphere, and if she looked at you, you would appear upside-down to her as well. We would then be able to walk along the inside of the sphere and meet at the same point of the sphere with both of us never feeling like we're doing anything other than walking up a slope.
I don't need exact solutions as I have barely started learning Unity, I just wanted to know if this is even possible in the Unity engine and how complicated would this be to implement?
EDIT: Here's a goofy mock-up for how the level as a FPS would look.
