Lightning Effect (Particle System?)
Hey guys,
I am trying to get a lightning bolt effect and I am assuming that it will be in the particle system department. Anywho, I am making a 2.5D game and I am trying to call a lightning bolt from the sky as an ability. I have messed around with the particle system already and just can't get the effect I want. And I am not trying to go for 100% realistic, I just want it to branch out. I also looked at the procedural examples but those don't branch out, they are one solid beam. Anyways, I appreciate any help or suggestions that you have. Thanks for your time!

You could improve the procedural example. It's defined by a start point, an end point and noise in the middle constantly updated. You could instantiate the branches by making their start on the noise part of the main bolt and so on.
