Terrain disappears when switching platform
Hello,
So I have a terrain and I'm in PC/Mac Standalone mode. When I switch platform to iOS my terrain disappears, my trees, grass and other models are still there but the terrain is invisible (has gone transparent). Any reason this might happen?
Thanks in advance
on terrain settings, make sure to put the base map distance very low or even 0. The problem with this is that your textures wont look so good. You can try rising up the texture base resolution no level the base map distance but its still limited.
As far as I have investigated, unity terrain is not the best option if you are looking to deploy for mobile. Try building on another platform like 3ds and then import it
Ok, I had the same problem and in my case the following helped:
click terrain, terrain settings
change material to e.g. Legacy Diffuse, terrain should appear now
change material to Standard, terrain should disappear again
Changing to anything but Standard reappears the terrain in my case.
