Why do I need to clic apply after editing a list content via editor script to access the list content in playmode

Hi,

I am making a reusable panel with text and button to switch between diffrent text.

The diffrent text are contained in a text list.

I am using an editor script to add text element to my list from the editor. When I print my list in editor mode I can see that the element I am adding realy are in my list.

However when I enter playmode, my list is reset.

I found that if I add element to my list (in edit mode) then press apply (right to prefab, in the inspector panel) to udpate my prefab, then my my list isnt empty when I enter playmode.

The problem is that i want this prefab to be reusable, in a future project I could need to have severals instances of this prefabs with diffrent text list so I would know if there is a way to avoid to need to apply.

Sorry if it is a bit confused my english is not very good, dont hesitate to ask me anything if I am not precise enough.
