How to move colliders through each other when desired?
Hey all,
In my game players can change the floor that they are on by going up and down stairs/ramps/elevators. But I want the players to still be able to run PAST the stairs/ramps/elevators when they don't want to ascend/descend floors.
I'm currently using floor colliders (edge colliders on the stairs as they can be lowered or raised) but as the player tries to ascend to the next floor (not worked on descending yet) they hit the box collider of the floor above and won't go any further. How do I overcome this?
Should I abandon using the 2D physics altogether and just use 3D albeit in a 2D manner? I know this would allow the player to 'sidestep' the colliders whilst using the ramps/stairs/elevators (Stuff it, I'm using the abbreviation RSE from now on, lol). But I would rather learn the other methods - no doubt there's a PROPER method for this...
