Playing H265 videos on Android
Hello everyone!
I've recently tried to use the new video player of Unity 5.6. It did wonders on Android, specifically on GearVR.
I currently have the need of playing H265 videos (for higher resolutions, like 4096 * 4096), and the new player seems to support only H264 and VP8.
I succesfully played the H265 video through the Oculus Video app, but I cannot get it working from the Unity apk, even if I use EasyMovieTexture plugin for video playing instead of the native editor.
Has anyone been able to play H265 videos on Android devices? Every suggestion would be truly appreciated!

Unfortunately not. AVPRo guys told me also they cannot play such high resolutions. I can play H265 videos through plugins (like AVPRo or Easy$$anonymous$$ovieTexture for instance, the ones that use the native android player) but not to such a high resolution.
Since the videos are stereo, I thought to have two separate tracks with a supported resolution, but I still have to try that, and I can guess the phone will overheat too much.
