using networking to create a Splitscreen game on 1 PC ?

hi at all,
i'm diving into Unet networking. i was walking through several tut's and achiefed it to play my racing game online.
Before that i did create a Splitscreen version of it. Basically it workes but i'm not really satisfied because for some reasons. Most of all it isn't possible to set up a well working sound for both players because of the "only 1 audiolistener" prob.
And... maybe i am wrong but it seems that the networked game(localhost and client) runs faster as the 1 Spl.Scr game. But while using the "networked" game i do have to click in each window to being able to control either the localhost player or the client.

So asked myself if it's possible to use a "2 Player networked" version somehow to simulate that. Means that each game scene window can be controlled by each player at the same time on 1 PC and 1 Screen ? NetworkManager.runinbackground is set to true as well in the Player settings in the build set up "Run in Background" is also checked but that didn't had any effect.
