music licensing from the asset store
I am selling music assets on the store. I have some questions regarding license, arising right now:
if one purchases my music on the asset store, can he use the music ONLY in a unity project? this means that he cannot use the music in video to be published in youtube, or in any other means?
if he wants to make a youtube video with my music, does he need an additional license / ask the permission directly to me?
if the video demo on youtube is part of a gameplay or a game trailer/demo made with unity, is it still possible to use the music in the youtube video?
thanks!
I wanna know exactly this too!!!
I contacted the Support yesterday. I am curious if and how they answer. Do you know more?
I am running into the same problem but lol from the other side and I believe I am right.
I purchased songs from the Asset Store, my users are doing lets play videos and sharing them on YouTube and since yesterday they get mass Content Identity Claims from the Owner, which I believe is wrong because the Euler allows interactive media.
I ran few moments into a similar issue but at that time it was more obvious. I used Public Domain music and someone remixed those songs and replubished them under a different name.
because the modified and repulished songs were almost identical the Content Identity found and flagged them.
I had to write disputes to more than +100 Videos.
SO I know YouTube is giving away Content Identity Protection to any stupid
