Easy Movie Texture.... Where to Begin?
Hello lovely people.
So I want to play a video in game levels alongside actual gameplay and have just downloaded the Easy Movie Texture plugin but I have not got the foggiest as to how to use it....
I should also mention I am builing my game in CSharp, for mobile and will integrate with Arduino.
Could someone please enlighten me?!
Cheers, Clare
I believe the Project comes with both a Read$$anonymous$$e and Demo scenes / examples, so try having a look at those.
The old age adage comes to $$anonymous$$d "if at first you don't succeed, read the instructions".
Thanks!
Thanks @shadoX I've read the $$anonymous$$anual and am still stumped....
I cant drag the relevant mov file (which I have in a Strea$$anonymous$$gAssets folder) into the StrFileName "bucket"... Are you supposed to type the file name? I am a bit suspicious.
In terms of scripting, the documentation is not particularly user friendly.
I put "public VideoResize OnResize; // When the video size is changed public VideoReady OnReady; // When the video is ready to use public VideoEnd OnEnd; // When the video finishes playing public VideoError OnVideoError;// When an error occurs public VideoFirstFrameReady OnVideoFirstFrameReady; // When the first screen of the video is ready" into my script before the Start function and Unity did not like it; didn't recognise or the VideoResize stuff....
Do you declare the movie/video file as a public or private variable?
Any suggestions?

Basically you attach the "Media player ctrl" to a 3d game object, and drop your video files in the streaming assets folder, then you write the name of the file with its extension in the media player ctrl component and test it out...
