Google IAP: How to tell if a product is purchased?

Hi,

While integrating the Google IAP, I encountered a conundrum: I have been using product.hasReceipt to determine whether a product has been purchased. When a user restores a purchase, however, they still retain a receipt, unless i'm mistaken. If i'm not mistaken, how am I to determine whether the user actually owns the product?
