Can mods made with Unity Indie use the pro features in a game made with Unity pro
Hello, I was wondering if it was possible for a user created mod that was made using Unity Indie to be able to use the pro features in a game that was created using Unity Pro. In other words, would a modder be able to have his mod that he made with the free version of Unity3D (being used as mod tools) be able to use the pro features in a game that was made with the pro version of Unity3D. I am wondering if this is possible or if mod tools would have to be built directly in to the application using the pro version in order to allow mods to use the pro features that are used in the game.
Thanks, Tachi

Unity doesn't have a mod interface. You can create one of course but mods will be restricted to custom plugins or something like that. If you plan to make your whole project opensource so modders can open the whole project in Unity then no. If they open a Unity pro project all features that require pro will not work.
Thanks, I wasn't intending so much open source as much as I was just a way for someone to bring a mod (such as a new weapon) in to the game and allow the mod to have the pro features of the game enabled. This makes sense, I guess I'm going to have to look at the methods to do this some more.
