Spawn N number of prefabs... from an API
Hey experts!
I'm new at this Unity thing (but 20 years of programming in other stuff).
I'm looking for a general, high level, on how to implement:
Player interacts with a mesh/prefab
Unity makes some API calls to a backend
The API returns a list of items
Generate a bunch of prefabs in the game, based upon that API list
I've been making pieces, but kind of wondering, the flow... in the Unity world. Hoping it will help me understand how things interact with each other. Does the prefab, trigger an event, which loads data somewhere... and passes the data on to something else...
The flow is the one you decide.
If you have 20 years of experience, I guess (hope?) you have multiple classes, each of them having a given responsibility. There is not really some special flow in Unity vs in others program$$anonymous$$g languages except that $$anonymous$$onoBehaviour has some special methods (initialisation, collision detection, update, ....)
Without more details on your system, it will be hard to give you a more precise answer.
