Installed Windows 10, can't start Unity
I do not have a pro license but after installing windows 10 whenever i open Unity, i get the error: "there was a problem validating the license because the Operation System identification seems to have changed. Would you like to deactivate this license and re-activate?"
My options are reactivate and quit so i select reactivate. and 2 windows open: 1 that is checking the license forever and restarts(bugged) everytime its finished and the other says re-activating but that one never loads and does nothing.
If i reinstall unity will this affect my projects?

Reinstalling Unity shouldn't hurt anything, except the expected issues if you also change version numbers when you reinstall.
All your project and editor settings should be saved externally and restored the next time you are able to get the program to run.
I was able to fix it by clicking randomly in the window, while it kept re-checking everything sometimes buttons would appear and dissapear after 0.5 seconds.. Eventually i was able to hit one of those buttons and got out of the "checking loop" after that i was able to select personal edition and got to start Unity without any further issues.

I had the same problem yesterday because Win 10 deleted my .ulf
Try this solution which worked for me.
Or check this thread in the forums.

I was able to fix it by clicking randomly in the window, while it kept re-checking everything sometimes buttons would appear and dissapear again after 0.5 seconds. So eventually i was able to hit one of those buttons and got out of the "checking loop" after that i was able to select personal edition and got to start Unity without any further issues. It's working fine now and i'm very glad that i didn't have to go through the trouble of reinstalling!
