Script randomly reverted to older version
For the past 2 weeks I've been working non-stop on a script from a game I made quite a while back and planned on reviving it. I was just about finished with the game when randomly while programming in one script that was of mildly massive importance to the game, the screen went black and Windows went wibbly wobbly. I had to restart the whole system and it even corrupted some programs (like chrome) and I expected to start Unity back up with that script that I had worked on (and saved).
It was the very very old version from before 2 weeks ago and I almost (well, I did) fell into tears. I searched frantically through the internet to find a way I could get to the newer file and I can't find anything. I did notice though, the time the screen went black it threw an error when monodevelop started saying something about not finding a script but I was still able to work on the script I was working on before just fine.
Has anyone else had this problem, any way to solve it without going through 2 weeks worth of day and night work all over again? I'm desperate to get it back!
I have just encountered this problem with Unity 5.1.1f1.
Except for the wibbly wobbly screen thing.
Booted the pc this morning to find that every script in my game had decided to revert itself to the version it was around 36 hours ago. There's no copies or backups, nothing open in editors etc etc (haven't long started this project); just my whole pc swearing blind that I didn't do that work, at all.
Perhaps this is not a Unity Problem...
