My ragdoll is sliding

I created a ragdoll and he falls down properly but after he settles to the ground (currently just a cube) he starts slowly "sliding" in the Z direction. If he hits another cube rigidbody, he pushes it out of the way. If he hits a cube rigidbody that has poisition constraints on, he slides up the cube in the Y direction and falls back down. It looks sort of like an ocean wave.

I've checked to make sure no ragdoll colliders were overlapping or anything obvious like that but I just can't figure this out. The ground cube is not rotated so the ragdoll is landing on a perfectly flat surface.

I'd try: rotate the ragdoll, does it go along the new local z, or the same global z? Same thing, but upside-down? Script is turned off? Tilting the ground slides as normal, still with mystery +z slide?
