Animation or Programming

This is something to be asked on a careers forum not a Unity Help page. There are equal career opportunities in both subjects, it depends on where you look and how you apply yourself as to wether they become available to you though. Talk to your careers advisor about this as apposed to random people on the internet who don't even know what country you live in let alone job prospects in your area.
