Device / Screen rotation without Animation on Android?
Hi,
I have a game board in my game and I like the idea to be able to view it from different angles by tilting your phone. I detect device rotation and then rotate the camera counter-wise, so when I rotate the device upside down I then view the game board upside down, but not the GUI. I don't know if I explain that well, but anyway, it work's just as intended. The only thing that bothers me is the screen rotation animation put in by the OS. It seems out of place, because of the setup.
I found this on the subject: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11957772/disable-default-animation-from-portrait-to-landscape
It seems it is possible to set the rotation animation to "jumpcut" since API-Level 18. Only this is Android Stuff and way beyond me. Is it even possible to do this in Unity?
Maybe it is not that hard and someone can help me with that? Otherwise I will learn to live with this little imperfection in my game... :)
Thanks for reading.
