Is it possible to get the forward and backward movement of android device

I want to build an android application, in which i will place gameobjects randomly in the scene. Using Gyroscope or Accelerometer sensors can we physically walk and reach the gameobjects. No navigation buttons are used in the application. Is it possible?

yes, you can use an Accelerometer to move a gameObject.
