Fbx import not working
When I try to import an .fbx object, I don't get any materials. I have to folders in my editor. One with the object with is just grey and one with some .png textures in it. How do I get the material to work?

Depends on where you are importing them from. If it is from the asset store, you may need to manually set the materials back up and re-assign them to the model. So create a new material, add the .PNG image as the material texture, then put the material on the part of the mesh it needs to go on.
However, if you are importing from a 3D modelling program, the shaders would be different so none of your materials will carry over. In that case you have to make new materials inside Unity and apply them. Unity will still recognize what parts of the mesh have their own vertex group. For example, if you set up a glass material in Blender, Unity will have no Idea how to read that. You would need to make a new Unity material, set the transparency, glossiness, etc. to resemble the glass you had in Blender. Then put that glass material on the glass part of the mesh.
