Sketch up to Unity: FPS Walks through the walls
I have imported a model from sketchup added terrain and a first person character (RigidBodyFPSController). The walls from the model appear but don't act as barriers (ie the FPS can move through all of the solid objects). Is this by design? The out of box FPS has a collider, but I'm not sure where to look for what has to happen to make walls solid to the FPS.
Upon further experimentation I am guessing that somehow the FBX export from Sketchup does not automatically add colliders to everything, but the process I have used before (but a year or two ago) which is Revit to 3DS$$anonymous$$ax to Unity did result in colliders being added (I remember having to remove them from all of the doors in order to navigate properly). I'll keep experimenting but if there are any shortcuts that anyone knows about I would appreciate knowing them. I selected what I think were the walls and added them but it seems that some of the geometries get messed up because in some places I cant even get close to the model now.
