Why does "Clear" under Render.OpaqueGeometry spike every few frames in WebGL?
Can someone tell me what Clear under Render.OpaqueGeometry is and how can I optimize for it in WebGL? I have a terrain, some animated characters, 2-3 small particle systems, and a stationary camera. Every couple of frames Clear takes from 200-400ms to complete! This causes my game to be unplayable. Ive tried turning off the terrain and other things but I just cant figure out what Clear actually is.

I am also experiencing this issue now on Android, however $$anonymous$$e only causes spikes of approx. 18-25ms, but this is problematic.
Did you ever find out what was causing Clear to consume so much, or a potential method of optimisation? Any insight you may be able to offer would be greatly appreciated!
