How to make a level progress text correctly?
I have 3D game (player use only xz-axels) with very twisting and narrow levels. How can I make progress text which show me how many percents have I reached on my level? Is bezier curves best way or is there better or easier way to do it? I'm very beginner with curves.
Sorry for bad English and thank you for help!
A simpler solution might be to place a number of cube colliders (set to Trigger mode) along the path. Let's say you had 10 of them. As the player passes into the second collider, you will know they are somewhere between 10 and 20% complete. It depends how accurate you need to be.
$$anonymous$$aybe I'm too perfectionist but I want to know progression like 64.54% with 2 decimal of percent. This is very simply and easy way but I want more accurate values if it isn't too hard to do. :)
Is your player stuck to a path, like a train on a track? Or does the path they take have a width to it? If so, then the length of the path is different depending on whether the player is on the inside or outside of any given corner.
