how do I use an Idle animation clip in a 2d blend tree?
Hello, I'm having some issues with 2D blend trees. I am using a "freeform cartesian" that includes forward and backward movement, as well as turning in place and walk/run (circular).
I am not using root motion. It seems like the issue is with the "Idle" clip. when I push slightly on the joystick, to walk slowly. the feet "slide" because the walk animation is being blended with the idle animation, causing it to "slow down".
I removed the "Idle" clip, and I can see that the walk animation now runs at the correct speed when pushing slightly on the stick. But the issue now is that the character "walks on the spot" when idle. Because it's blending between walk forward and walk backward.
How do I go about fixing this? any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
